This English-born player made his debut for T & T in a 0-1 loss to Morocco in January of 2000. Started his professional career with AFC Bournemouth where he later became captain before joining English First Division side Burnley for 500,000 pounds. He has since joined Gillingham FC.

He is superb in the air, strong tackler and is composed in the most difficult of situations. He has been considered one of the most steady defenders outside of the Premiership.

A midfielder-cum-central defender, Ian Cox is a strong tackler with the aerial awareness and composure needed in defence.

He is now at Gillingham after periods with Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Burnley. English-born, he plays for his parents’ homeland.

His debut came against Mexico in January 2000, though he left international football in 2001 to concentrate on his club career. He returned to duty in 2004 and played in six of his country’s 2006 FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers.
