Reigning Women’s League Football (Wolf) Premier Division champion team Real Dimension rebounded from its opening day defeat to ease past Trincity Nationals 5–2 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, on Thursday evening.

Playing in the first match of a double-header, which was followed by a Digicel Pro Bowl final between Caledonia AIA and Defence Force, Real Dimension played a comfortable match, full of well-worked goals and possession football.

Both teams started off with intensity and good passing and dribbling contributed to the first sight on goal, which was from Dimension skipper Janine Francois, who found the back of the net as early as in the fourth minute of play. Francois had her back to goal just outside of the 18 yard box, and turned before slotting home the opener.

Trincity Nationals, however, responded in a mature and composed fashion just after the first goal and got an equalizer in the eighth minute, through Shanisa Camejo, who majestically chipped over Dimension goalkeeper Keri Myers, after being sent through with a pinpoint midfield pass.

The match followed with great tussles in midfield, with both teams trying to settle down and build momentum. The scoreline, however, favoured the reigning champions after 25 minutes gone, as Dernelle Mascall scored a scorcher, after dribbling through the Trincity defence, to shoot past goalkeeper Tracia Pascall, who failed to get near the effort.

Real Dimension continued to display the better passing and individual skill, which in the 40th minute, resulted in yet another goal, which put them 3–1 up. Rhea Belgrave clinically finished from a inswinging free-kick. Less than two minutes later defensive player Afuyah, showed great attacking instinct to pass by three defenders, after looping the ball over the head of another in a crowded penalty box, before tucking away the fourth with the outside of her foot.

The start of the second half was slightly more reassuring for Trincity Nationals, and momentum in the opening moments continued after the hour mark. In the 67th minute, Dimension custodian Myers fouled Shanelle Warrick in the penalty area, which prompted a penalty decision by the referee. Warrick stepped up to take it and sent Myers in the wrong direction with a well placed shot to her right.

The scoring concluded in the 85th minute, when Francois cleverly dribbling through several defenders, and quickly cutting back to make a decisive pass to Tasha St Louis waiting at the top of the six-yard box and place it past the Trincity “keeper”. Action continued in the Premier Division and the First Division yesterday, while First Division action for the round is set to wrap up today, with one match in each zone.

Both teams started off very intensely with nice passes and good dribbling skills on show. Real D Capt., Janine Francois would take a kick start; in the 4', receives the ball and turns her defender nicely with a finesse shot straight to goal.

This did not slow down Trincity Nationals and in the 8', Shanisa Camejo would get a through pass from the mid-field that would leave her 1 on 1 with Keri Myers who tried to intercept the pass but Camejo would get their first and with great technical poise, chipped Myers to get the equaliser for her team.

The game would be a midfield battle and both teams trying to stamp their authority in the game. Real D would get the nudge in the 25' when Dernelle Mascall dribbles through  the defenders and gets off a powerful shot that Tracia Pascall just could not stop.

In the 40', Rhea Belgrave would finish from a cross from a free kick and Dimension would close off the half in the 42' minute when Afuyah Matthias showed that even as a defender she has some striker instinct when she 'capped' one defender and got around 2-3 v defenders in a crowded 6 yard box and tucked it away with the outside of her foot.

The second half started off Trincity determinde to gain some momentum that would get them on the score sheets and in the 67' Myers would foul Shanelle Warrick in the box and Trincity would be awarded a penalty. Shanelle would step up to take the penalty and send Keri Myers the wrong way with a well placed shot past her left side.

In the 85', Janine Francois would seal the match after dribbling several defenders and cleverly cutting back to make a decisive pass to Tasha St. Louis waiting at the top of the 6 yard box and place it past the Trincity Custodian.
