The University of the West Indies (UWI) will attempt to stop Women’s League Football (WoLF) Premier Division title hopefuls Malick FC when the two teams clash at St George’s College Ground, from 5 pm.

UWI will require a drastic improvement from its previous league matches which saw the team concede a total of 36 goals in only five matches, while only finding the target on two occasions. Malick has nine points with three wins and two losses, but remains a point behind second-placed Tobago Women’s FC.

Tobago, meanwhile is two points behind impressive league leaders and reigning champion team Real Dimension. There will an East Zone clash on Sunday with Sweaters Touring Team challenging Arima Giants at the Holy Cross College, Arima, from the same time.

Both teams will be looking for full points to stay in contention for top spot, which is currently being held by St Augustine. If neither team can take top spot, they will have to settle for a second-place finish and a spot in the Big-8 competition, which ultimately decides the overall winner of the First Division.
