SIDEY’S made up ground on idle leaders Leeds United in the Tobago Football Association Premier Division on Sunday.

The men from Speyside shut out Roxborough Lakers 2-0 at the Cyd Gray Stadium to leapfrog the Lakers into second place. 

The victory gave Sidey’s 28 points, just four back of Leeds United and they have two games in hand. Also in the Premier Division, Goal City whipped Mason Hall USSS 3-0 at the Moriah Ground while Stokely Vale edged Georgia 1-0 at Plymouth. 

In Championshp, Division action, Signal Hll United hold a seven-point lead over Bethel United after their 3-0 victory over FC Goodwood at their home ground. 

Bethel kept on their heels with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over third placed Lambeau at Mt Gomery. 

Lowly Earlbrokes edged Charlotteville Unifiers 3-2 at at Goodwood, to join them at 10 points each. But in Division One, there were goals aplenty with Mt Grace United drubbing Youth Stars Developmental Team 11-0, and Belle Garden dumping Federal Northside 5-2. Also Hope Village Milan whipped St Clair’s Coaching School 5-2 and Calder Hall beat Mason Hall Police Youth Club 4-1.
