1976 FC Phoenix moved back to the front of the race ahead of Black Rock United on goal difference in the Western Conference of the Tobago Football Association competition, following a hard-fought 3-2 success away to Signal Hill United in Signal Hill, on Tuesday afternoon.

Both clubs have 19 points on the standings, but Phoenix, with a two- goal advantage on Carnbee/Mt Pleasant, have played eight games to Black Rock's seven.

Phoenix, who were coming off an unexpected 2-1 defeat to their next door neighbours Carnbee/Mt Pleasant, the game before, had a goal each from off the boots of Selvon Turner, Ryan Wills and Kenvern Marcelle.

Dennis Bruce and Cole Clovis were the goalscorers for Carnbee/Mt Pleasant, who are one-from-last in the race.

Last-placed side Lambeau United collected a point on the back of a 2-2 draw with fourth-placed Bethel Uprising at Montgomery.

Ian Thomas and Ancil Campbell were on target for Lambeau. Uprising have ten points.

In the Eastern Conference Mason Hall United SSS are also the pace-makers in that division on goal differential over Mason Hall PYC, who have a game in hand.

Moriah Youths are one point adrift in second spot, while Youth Stars United round out the top four positions with a dozen points.
