GEORGIA United continued to gallop along merrily at the front of the Digicel Tobago Football Association (TFA) League on the heels of their third consecutive triumph at the beginning of the second round.

Their latest triumph opened a six-point spread on defending champions Stokely Vale, who have two games in hand on the leaders.

On Tuesday in the feature encounter of a double-header at Goodwood, Kerry Stewart and Keron Phillips hit a goal apiece past the Roxborough Lakers custodian for Georgia to squeeze past the back-to-back FA Cup winners 2-1 in an evenly-contested clash.

The success pushed Georgia to 32 points from 14 games, six points ahead of champs Stokely Vale (26), who have played one game since the start of the second round.

Kwesi Beckles netted for Lakers, who dropped to their second defeat in three outings since their successful  FA Cup campaign.

Despite of their recent drop in form,  three-time FA Cup champions Lakers held on to third place with 22 points from 14 games.

But, Sidey's FC (21) continued their steady progress up the table to replace the newly promoted Golden Lane(20 points) in fourth-spot after  a dominating 3-0 win over the same team, also on Tuesday.

Newcomers Golden Lane have been lingering around the top five for the longest while.

Kester Kent did all the scoring for the Speyside outfit in the night's opener. It was Sidey's sixth win from 14 matches.

St Clair Coaching School injected some life into their sluggish effort from the first round with an easy 4-2 win against Mega Brite Bethel United.

That game was played Dwight Yorke Stadium (DYS) in Bacolet, where four different players netted for Coaching School.

They were Keon Samuel, Keon Price, Collis Joseph and Carron Williams.

Renaldo John and Nigel Price scored for Bethel, who were coming off a big over win over Lakers in their previous match-up.

At present, the former champs are labouring down the table in eighth-position on the 12-team standings with 19 points.

In the other contest on Tuesday evening at the DYS, sixth-placed Castara Retreats Goal City and Pepsi Hills United-the side underneath them-played to a goalless draw.
