ST CLAIR Coaching School, Roxborough Lakers and Bethel United moved on to the next round of the Tobago Football Association (TFA) Community Cup home-and-away competition following contrasting triumphs last week.

Coaching School booked their spot in the next round via a 5-4 win on penalties after an enthralling 5-5 tie in normal time with a determined Taylor's Rentals Goal City side.

Before the penalty shootout in the feature encounter of a double-header at Canaan last Friday, Akini Ferguson netted a beaver-trick and Kayode Grant tacked in the other effort for Goal City.

On the other side, Kino Proctor notched a double, while there was an item each for Vernon Wilson, Rodney and Vareem Moore in the high-scoring affair.

Coaching School had advanced to that stage of the competition following 3-1 victory on the road to Sidey's FC in Speyside. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw at Daniel Trace on the opening day of the 2010 campaign.

In the other encounter, Lakers turned back a plucky Hills United outfit 2-0 to continue their march for early season spoils.

Keeping Lakers' hopes alive were Dyke Reid and Grevon Crooks.

They have so far dumped defending champions Stokley Vale and Hills United out of the competition.

On the same day at Mt Pleasant, Bethel United edged 1976 FC Phoenix 1-0. Joel Moore getting the game's single goal.
