Alan Forrester fired in a hat-trick as Lambeau United held off Golden Lane 3-2 to inch closer to the title in the Tobago Football Association First Division.The Taylor brothers, Imla and Tola got the goals for Golden Lane at the Plymouth Recreation Ground.
With the win, Lambeau pushed its points tally to 51 from 22 matches, three more than Carnbee/Mt Pleasant which hammered Moriah Youths 8-0 with Dominique Roberts also scoring a hat-trick.
Third placed 1976 Phoenix has 46 points from 21 matches while Youth Stars United, the other team still in with a title chance is next with 44 points also with three matches to play.
A win for Lambeau in its penultimate match and defeat for Carnbee/Mt Pleasant will end the title race while a slip up the league leaders will see the title being decided in the final round of matches.
On Tuesday, St Clair Coaching School completed the double in the Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Earlbrokes.
