Akeem Garcia scored an emphatic five goals when his team, an impressive San Juan Jabloteh, dropped Defence Force 8-1 in the Oasis Youth Pro League Under-16 Division, on Sunday.

That match, along with the Under-14 and Under-18 division matches between the two teams were played at the San Juan North Secondary School, Ground.

Along with Garcia’s efforts, Akim Andrews, Kwesi Allen and Josiah Trimmington all scored one goal each to secure a spot at the top of the standings. Jabloteh are now three points clear of second place St Ann’s Rangers, which remain with a match in hand.

Rangers and W Connection were scheduled to meet in the three divisions on Sunday, but the matches were postponed until May 30, to accommodate W Connection’s senior team’s participation in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Championships.

San Juan Jabloteh’s Under-14s also started off the day with a humbling 6-1 victory over Defence Force, with Ronaldo Francois, the first player to record a five goal tally on Sunday.

Romario Villafana scored the other foal for Jabloteh, while Defence Force got an early equaliser through Liam De Verteuil in the 10th minute. Defence Force, in truth had an opportunity to take the lead through a penalty, which may have influenced the final outcome, but failed to capitalise on the opportunity. In the Under-18 division, Jabloteh and Defence Force shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
