ST ANN’S RANGERS remained top of the standings in the Under-17 Division of the Oasis Youth Pro League after a 3-1 victory over W Connection last Sunday in a Round Two Match Day Three fixture.
Marqise Hoyte put Rangers ahead after four minutes while Kevon Goddard doubled the lead in the 44th. Ronaldo London pulled one back in the 45th for Connection but Josh Toussaint ensured there was no denying a Rangers win when he netted in the 48th.Central FC stayed in second spot after edging TTEC 2-1. Nicholas Dillon gave Central a ninth minute lead but Keon Brown evened up the scores in the 23rd. However, Joshua Eneau secured full points for Central in the 90th.
Defence Force were also in winners’ row, as they staged a come-from-behind 5-1 triumph over Caledonia AIA.
Tyion Jennings netted for AIA after eight minutes but Defence Force rallied with a double from national Under-17 striker Brent Sam (48th and 61st), and one apiece from Daniel Banfield (70th), Akeem Garcia (84th) and Kyell Lancaster (89th).
But the most lopsided result saw North East Stars demolish cellar-placed Police 9-2.
Andell Jones registered a hat-trick (10th, 16th and 46th), Tai Commissiong (21st and 36th) and Taryk Sampson (25th and 36th) netted two apiece, while Reon Moore (29th) and Kirston Baird (50th) added one each. Carlton Alfonso (61st) and Deno Daniels (89th) responded for Police.
