CENTRAL FC came from a goal down to whip San Juan Jabloteh 2-1 on Friday, and hence claim the Rawle Fletcher Trophy, in a Round One Match Day Nine meeting in the Digicel Pro League on Friday evening.

The game was the first of back-to-back matches on the day, with Defence Force edging Ma Pau Stars 1-0 in the First Citizens Cup at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

Winger Nathan Lewis, back in the fray after recovering from a gunshot wound to his shoulder in September, gave Jabloteh a 31st minute lead but forward Jem Gordon levelled the scores in the 76th.

Captain and utility player Darren Mitchell found the back of the net in the 89th to give Central FC the win, and pushed their points tally to 25 after nine games, six more than W Connection (who have a game in hand) while Jabloteh are third on 16.

As a result, Central FC were the recipients of the Rawle Fletcher Trophy after topping the table after Round One.

League action will continue today with Club Sando opposing St Ann’s Rangers from 3.30 pm at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella while Morvant Caledonia United will be facing Police at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 6 pm
