W Connection enjoyed healthy victories against Police FC in Sunday’s Round One Match Day Eight of the 2011 Oasis Youth Pro League U13 and U15 divisions but suffered a shock defeat in the U-17s against the “Law Boys”.

Police hosted Connection at the St. Joseph Convent Grounds and suffered a 6-0 defeat in the U-13s with Kareem Riley scoring on either side of the half and a goal each by Isaiah Hudson, Jeron Pantor, Jarod Gordon and Bradlee Lee Foon.

In the U15s, Yafeu Rougier coming off a double in Match Day Seven against St. Ann’s Rangers, continued his fine goalscoring form this season with a beaver-trick netting in the 7th, 36th, 43rd and 50th minutes in the 10-0 win.

Aswad Pilgrim got a hattrick (33rd, 45th and 60th minutes), Jabari Mitchell a double (12th and 31st minutes) and Yasseen Rivas one item in the 57th minute as Connection maintained its perfect run in the U15s this season with 24 points from eight games at the top of the standings.

Connection also leads the U13 standings with 22 points from eight games—seven wins and just one draw—and enjoys a 6 point gap on the pack.

However Connection’s earlier form was interrupted on Sunday when in the U17 division, Police FC registered a 3-2 shock win.

Police lead the match early with goals by Richard Villanafana (2nd minute) and Dexter Perouse (10th minute), before Kyle Celestine (21st minute) and Akeel Pierre (76th minute) leveled the scores.

However one minute after Pierre’s goal, Perouse netted his second item on the afternoon for a 3-2 Police win and handing Connection its third straight defeat.

Connection sits 6th on the U17 standings with 13 points, the same as seventh positioned Defence Force.

Joe Public continues to lead the way in the U-17s at the top of the standings with maximum 21 points from seven games following Sunday’s 7-0 second half hammering of FC SouthEnd at the Marvin Lee Stadium.

Garvin Samaroo got a hattrick (72nd, 76th and 78th minutes), Marcus Gomez a double (70th and 81st minutes) and Leon Gill (65th minute) and Shaquille Bertrand (74th minute) a goal each.

In the earlier matches Joe Public, enjoyed a 4-0 U-13 win against the visitors but had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the U15 division.
