T&T senior women footballers play Guatemala tonight
T&T’s senior women’s football team will take on Guatemala in a warm-up match tonight from 7 pm in Guatemala. The team left for a seven-day camp in Guatemala on Wednesday, where it will play two matches. The second is on Monday. The camp is being used as preparation for the Senior Women’s Gold Cup competition which will be held in Cancun, Mexico, from October 28 to November 9.Notably absent from the team, is Sweden-based professional, Ahkeela Mollon, who has been influential in many of T&T’s successes since her return to national duty this year. Jamaal Shabazz, coach of the team, simply explained that Mollon opted not to represent her country for the tournament.The team is also without any U-17 players, such as Kayla Taylor, due to the BGTT Girls Secondary School’s Football League currently taking place.
