Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Women’s Team head coach Randy Waldrum has described the opening week of the tlive-in training camp at the Petrotrin Beach Camp in Palo Seco as beneficial towards his team’s preparations for the CONCACAF Final Round of qualification next month for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Waldrum has been overseeing daily training sessions in Palo Seco after Petrotrin agreed to host the team for its final home-based training camp before their scheduled departure for the United States for the opening match against the United States in Kansas.

“I can’t thank Petrotrin enough for their support of the T&T Women’s Team by hosting us on their facility. The team desperately needed time to come together in a residency setting before we take off for the US, and Petrotrin was great to step forward and provide this,” Waldrum stated.

“We are finding that the company has been extremely accommodating in providing basically whatever it is that we need. There is a great pool area for workouts, a nice facility for us to relax and eat meals in, and a very nice beach just hundreds of yards away from our housing. We’ve been able to bond better all here together, and able to get in regular training with everyone,” Waldrum added.

“The beach and pool provides us with great workout and regeneration that is so key after practice. This is a very important time for our team development, and this residency will go a long way in helping us qualify."

T&T will also face Guatemala and Haiti in the group phase of the CONCACAF Final round next month.
