Ahkeela Darcel Mollon one of T&T's Swedish based women footballers returned to Sweden on Saturday after a four month break in sunny Trinidad and Tobago to continue her professional career with Kvårsveden IF. Ahkeela however, got some not so good news upon her returned though.

The plane-ride was very long, she was tired and finally she got a taste of the bitter cold climate Sweden has to offer. She was greeted by some very cold weather and to make matters worst the next day upon her arrival from Trinidad she had a training game.

The former University of South Carolina graduate told the Soca Warriors Online (SWO). "It was very, very cold... 3 degree's and with the win-chill "minus zero" at times, which two days before in Trinidad and Tobago it was 30+ degree's... :-(

"So playing at 27 degree's less than I am use to was really tough. "But we Trini's can survive anywhere in the world (smile)...

"My team won, and my performance was ok considering the sudden change in weather for me. "I had an assists in the 2-1 win".

"My first game is carded for April 19th, which gives me at least three weeks to get use to the weather and at least some training games to prepare me for my upcoming season."

"I working on my fitness currently, meaning... fitness for this kind of weather (laugh)".

"I am really excited about helping my team reach it's ultimate goal this season, which will be to top the series. I turn 24 on April 2nd the day after Trinidad and Tobago senior men's team take on the USA and no greater gift would be appreciated from the Soca Warriors than a win, ended Mollon."

Kvårsveden IF will compete in the first division this coming season after they won their division last season which got them promoted to the top flight. They only lost one game last season and is definitely looking forward to the big league. Ahkeela will look to continue her fine form from last year and despite playing as an outside midfielder she stilled managed to score a whopping 17 goals and had 12 assist in 17 league games.

Apart from Ahkeela Mollon there is another female footballer from Trinidad and Tobago that is also playing in a league that is regarded as one of the top women's league in the world. Tasha St Loius was recently signed by Sunnanå SK and will come up against Mollon sometime down the new season.

This will be St. Louis’ first European contract. She played in the United States Women’s Pro League in 2004 with the New Jersey Wildcats. She is better known, however, in her home country. She was T&T’s 2002 Woman Footballer of the Year and the Caribbean Football Union MVP of Gold Cup Qualifiers. St. Louis has played with the T&T Senior National Team since 2000.

The Swedish women division consists of a league of 12 teams. There is a relegation system in place with the Swedish Women's Division 1, which is split into Northern and Southern sections. The two lowest ranked teams in the league are relegated and replaced by the winners of the two Division 1 leagues.

The women's division was first held in 1973. The Damallsvenskan is considered to be the best women's league, since the American league went bankrupt. In the Damallsvenskan you find players like Marta Vieira da Silva, Daniela Alvés Lima, Nadine Angerer, Lisa De Vanna and Hanna Ljungberg to name a few.
