The team, under coach Marlon Charles, arrived in FL last Thursday for the four-match training camp as it prepares for future competitions including the next Under 17 World Cup qualifying tournament.

T&T won its opening game 2-0 over Coral Springs United last Friday through goals by Jahra Thomas and Khaline Jacobs.

Then on Sunday, the visitors came from two goals down to get the better of Coral United’s Under 17 team 4-2. Doubles by Jahra Thomas and Zoe Swift did the job for the T&T girls.

Charles described the trip as something that was ideal for the team in its build up to future competitions.

“It is ideal for us at the moment to be able to have the girls come out in an environment like this and get the exposure,” he told TTFF Media.

“The facilities are excellent and just the opportunity for the players to get match practice against some of the US teams is something that will benefit them.

We have two more games left on the tour and we will definitely be looking for more good results as well hoping to make full use of the opportunity to better the team’s condition for later down the road.”
