Enterprise Youths missed out on a chance to open a three-point lead at the top of the CRILLE Central Football Association Premier Division after it was held to a 1-1 draw my mid-table KC Perseverance United at Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, Woodford on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first half, Tavrean Sobers fired Enterprise into the lead but that was short-lived though as Kevon Edwards replied for Perseverance two minutes later to earn his team a share of the points.
With the point earned, Enterprise now leads the standings with 28 points from 14 matches, one ahead of Harlem Strikers which has a match in hand while Edinburgh 500 is next with 26 from 13 matches, and Cunupia FC fourth, a further point behind from 14 matches.
In the other match played on Tuesday, Kareem Beckles netted the lone item in the 67th minute for Las Lomas to beat Perseverance Ball Runners 1-0 at Edinburgh 500 Recreation Ground.
The two other matches on schedule ended in default victories for Leeds United and Cunupia FC over ADL Couva Sports and St Mary’s United. Today, four matches are on schedule with two each at Woodford and Edinburgh, from 5.30 pm.
