Gerrard Mc Knight and Givon John were both on target as T&TEC shutout Penal All Stars 2-0 at Skinner Park in San Fernando on Saturday to trim Point Fortin Civic Centre’s lead at the top of the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League Premier Division.

With the win, T&TEC improved to 33 points from 15 matches, five adrift of Point Fortin which has a match in hand while third placed Marabella Family CC won by default from Diamond United to stay third with 28 points.
 
In the two other matches, Big Dreams United also won 2-0 over OJs Soldado All Stars with a goal each from Nigel John and Jason Boodram to climb to fourth with 25 points, one more than Petrotrin Palo Seco, which won by default over Brick Field Falcons.
 
The match between Point Fortin and PAL United carded for Mahaica Oval was not played. Meanwhile, in the Roy Jagroopsingh Second Division, leader University of T&T (UTT) clobbered Gasparillo Youths 8-0, to push its tally to 30 points from 12 matches, and one win away from the title and promotion.
