Nigel John of Moruga FC and Keston Khan of Marabella Family Crisis Centre both netted hat-tricks to get their respective clubs back in contention to lift the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League “Big-Six” title on Wednesday at the end of round three.

In addition to John, Kyle Morgan scored for the third straight match for Moruga in its 4-1 defeat of University of T&T which got a lone reply from Jamal Creighton.

The win was the first in three matches for Moruga, now with four points, the same as Marabella Family and two behind Barrackpore United which had its match against Pt Fortin Civic postponed due to an unplayable venue.

For Marabella, Yohance Alexander and former national Under-20 captain Javed Mohammed added the other goals while Kerwyn Samuel fired in the only goal for Giants which missed a chance to go top of the table.

Matches in the ‘Big-Six’ will continue tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Barrackpore is already through to the SFA League Cup final after thumping Penal All Stars 7-1 on aggregate in their semifinal while second-leg of the other semifinal between University of T&T and Moruga FC which stands at 2-2 takes place on Monday.

The winner of the League Cup will earn $4,000 and the runner-up, $2,000. And in the Executive Cup final scheduled for December 11, Moruga FC meets Penal All Stars from 6.30 pm.
