Biche FC captured the Eastern Counties Football Union (ECFU) knockout crown when it got the better of Rio Claro United 3-1 on penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw at the Shell Recreation Ground, Rio Claro on Sunday March 5.



For the victory, the youthful Biche FC squad collected $5,000 while runner-up Rio Claro, got $3,000.

However, Matura Reunited were the big winners after they captured the $9,000 Premier Division title and the right to contest T&T Football Federation “Champion of Champions” competition for the chance to gain promotion to the National Super League.

Matura, which also won the ECFU crown last season tallied 31 points from its 12 matches, seven clear of Rio Claro United to take home $5,000).

Third placed Damarie Hill Reunited, also ended with 24 points, but with an inferior goal-difference for $3,000.
