REAL MARACAS are the new kings of the Emerald Apartments & Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association.

They clinched the title when they held last season’s champs Joe Public, the Eastern Lions, to a 0-0 draw in the final match of the Big Four series to capture the Arthur “Jap” Brown Memorial Trophy.

The draw on Tuesday at the Squadron ground, gave the unbeaten Maracas men seven points to finish two clear of Joe Public (5).

It was the second trophy for the Maracas team after having won the League Cup previously, beating Malabar FC 1-0 in the final earlier last month.

St John’s United failed to turn up for their match against Carib FC at St Augustine Secondary ground also on Tuesday.

The Brewery Boys by their three easy points finished in third while St John’s remained without a point at the foot of the standings.
