With the excitement and fan base growing ahead of the T&T vs Iceland clash in London on February 28, the Warrior Nation has been approached by two television stations [ITV1 and one German] and BBC Radio Stoke . Interviews and coverage of our group is planned before and during the game.

SUPPORT FOR WARRIOR NATION FLOODS IN.

With the club being merely a couple days old, support from Soca Warrior supporters around the world to the launch of a dedicated Trinidad and Tobago football fan club has been overwhelming. The efforts of the Board of Directors has been given an added boost by the addition of www.socawarriors.net founder, Inshan Mohammed, and Trinidad and Tobago Olympic medalist, Ato Boldon. On his role in the Warrior Nation as Club Ambassador, Senator Boldon commented, “I will never depart from what has been my singular aim since I was 18 years old and first started representing Trinidad and Tobago - and that is to support all things Trinbagonian until I take my last breath. I thank the Warrior Nation for letting me represent them in this esteemed position”.

Trinidad born Gershwin Stephen (aka truetrini) currently lives and works in Virginia USA and is a mad keen supporter of the Trinidad & Tobago Soca Warriors. Stafford born Chris Birchall plays for Port Vale FC and Trinidad & Tobago. No, it’s not a conundrum because Chris’ grandparents migrated to the Windward Isles where his mum was born. When asked by the Trini press why he qualified to play for them he replied ‘Me mum’. This memorable response gave rise to his Soca Warrior nickname ‘Me Mum’.

SOCA WARRIORS GET SUPPORTERS BOOST…ahead of Iceland clash.

With the aim of having fans who will participate at games involving Trinidad and Tobago football teams, comparable to the standards that are commonplace in international football, the Soca Warriors Supporters Club has been formed. The Soca Warriors Supporters Club (SWSC), also known as “The Warrior Nation”, was incorporated on December 12, 2005 in Miami, FL. The club is a partner of www.socawarriors.net , in existence since 2000, which has been the online hub for news and discussion regarding national football teams for the past two World Cup qualifying campaigns and numerous CONCACAF Gold Cup and other regional tournaments.

This superb Vale performance deserved a grander stage, so it was fitting that a touch of World Cup fever came to Griffin Park. The couple of hundred travelling supporters were joined by four Trinidad and Tobago fans whose national flag and "Soca Warriors" banner were draped proudly over a barrier in the open away terrace.

Members of the Warrior Nation are ambassadors of Trinidad and Tobago. Members must act in a manner that gives a positive image of our country, our team and our support.

Members will not partake in any act of violence, intimidation or provocation and will show respect for the culture, customs, property and laws of all countries that we encounter.

Members will not write, speak or express any discriminatory sentiment to any team, country or class of people based on race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

Members will be sensitive to others and be aware of the limits beyond which passionate support and good-natured picong (frivolous banter) become offensive behavior and unwelcome abuse.

The Warrior Nation is an all-inclusive organization and children are welcomed and are the future of our organization. Members should be aware of the likelihood of younger supporters around them at games and moderate their behavior and language accordingly.

Members will not partake in any activity that is likely to disrupt the normal progression and enjoyment of games or scheduled events. This includes interfering with, match officials, players or fans.
 
The Warrior Nation is a club that fosters unity. As such, all members are expected to show the utmost respect and camaraderie to each other, regardless of varied opinions.
