Densill Theobald recalls the period when he was not being considered for selection on the last Trinidad and Tobago team trying to get to the Olympics in 2003. Well the Faithfulista made it safely back to sweet T&T on Saturday July 16. This was one of the days slated for quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but with Trinidad and Tobago's first round elimination, my son, "Small Magician", and I, "Big Magician", were on a flight to Port of Spain and not Boston.

The Management Staff of the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Team got some news to feel a bit better about the day following the disappointing exit from the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup after it was learnt that players Chris Birchall and Avery John would be available for the next 2006 World Cup qualifier against United States despite receiving double cautions in the Gold Cup.

Well it's Friday July 8, and the Faithfulista are in Miami bracing for the wrath of Hurricane Dennis. This is not what we came here for. My son, "Small Magician" and I "Big Magician" came to Miami to follow T&T's Warriors in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Now our thoughts shift from football to those terrible images of past hurricanes that battered Miami.

Well the Faithfulista made it safely to Miami for the CONCACAF Gold Cup last Tuesday on an American Airlines flight. The flight was a smooth one, with just a ten-minute spell of slight turbulence. The breakfast shocked both my son, "Small Magician", and me, "Big Magician", as it could well have been some cheese paste sandwiches we slapped together at home. The in-flight movie was Hitch, starring Will Smith. Comedy-romance, with Smith as a consultant to men trying to pick up the women of their dreams. I could see "Small Magician" soaking up all the lines and moves for some future use.
