Sophomore midfielder Alex Jones (Springfield, VA/Bishop O’Connell) scored two goals and junior midfielder Patrick Norfolk (Olney, MD/Sherwood) added a goal and two assists to lead Shepherd University to a 8-0 win over Gallaudet University in men's soccer action at Gallaudet on Thursday night.

Sophomore midfielder Matt D’Amico (Germantown, MD/Northwest), junior midfielder Bobby Doyle (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County), junior defender Jeff Sandusky (Brookeville, MD/Sherwood), junior forward Gregory Khan (Mt. Pleasant, Tobago/Bertille St. Clair), and junior midfielder/forward Jeffers Frazier (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert) each added a goal for the Rams.

Senior midfielder Nahome Mazengia (Silver Spring, MD/Blair), junior defender Kevin Poland (Olney, MD/Sherwood), and sophomore defender Jason Ortiz (Rockville, MD/Rockville) each tallied assists.

Senior goalkeeper Wagner Dacosta (Santos, Brazil/IASP) recorded seven saves for the Rams, while Poloko Qobose had 16 saves for the Bison.

Shepherd improves to 6-7-0 overall, while Gallaudet falls to 0-16-0. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 2 p.m. contest.
