Dion Peters scored twice as Charleston splashed past Wheeling Jesuit 4-0, Thursday evening to earn a spot in the West Virginia Conference Championship game. Rob Vincent and Harry Machacha added solo goals for top-seeded UC.

Machacha put UC on the board only 2:39 into the contest and Peters followed with a pair of quick goals to help the Golden Eagles lead 3-0 by the 18th minute. Vincent added an insurance score in the final minute.

Sean Teepen posted the shutout with three saves. Shane Young also had three saves for WJU.

The Golden Eagles advance to host West Virginia Wesleyan in Saturday's 5:00 p.m. championship match. The battle between regionally and nationally ranked squads carries heavy implications in gaining one of the Atlantic Region's four spots in the upcoming NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament.

Wesleyan handed Charleston their lone WVIAC regular season setback with a 1-0 loss on September 21. The Bobcats got an early goal from Diego Michelato and made that hold up as Ryan McDougall accounted for five saves.
