St. Charles FC continues to build out their inaugural USL League Two team and they stick with another player who is well known to head coach Lawrence Olum. Mickel Ravello joins the club after completing his final season with Harris-Stowe State University where he captained the team to a nationals appearance last season. Ravello was named to the 2022 American Midwest Conference’s All-Conference First Team as a defender. Ravello spent a majority of his time at the left back and left wing positions. Ravello is using his time with STCFC to continue his journey to the next level.

Said Ravello, “I joined St. Charles FC because […] it helps take me one step closer to my goal to play professionally.”

Ravello began his soccer career in his home country of Trinidad and Tobago at St. Benedict’s College where he played from 2012-2018. He was named most valuable player in 2015, ’16, ’17 and ’18 and became one of the youngest captains in 2017. While in Trinidad he also played club football with W Connection where he was named the MVP in the club finals in 2017. He came to the United States to attend St. Louis Community College and Jefferson College from 2019-2021. Ravello transferred to Harris-Stowe in 2021 and collected 8 goals in his time with the Hornets. Ravello also spent time with the St. Louis Lions.

As with his new teammates, Ravello has had a love for soccer from a young age and is passionate about it to this day. “I have always had passions but soccer was the one thing that I worked harder on than most things,” said Ravello.

Ravello will be reunited with teammate Hubert Kopany when the season opens May 7th.
