St Ann’s Rangers recorded a 2-0 win over Caledonia AIA to remain perfect and on top of the OASIS Youth Pro League Under-18 division standings, when Round One Match Day Three action concluded, on Sunday.

The late 4 pm fixture, kicked off at the Haig Street Recreation Ground, Carenage, following a similar 2-0 win for the Under-16 team over the same team. The Rangers under-14 team lost its morning fixture, 3-0 by default.

Xavier Rajpaul scored two minutes before the break to give Rangers the 1-0 lead in the Under-18 match, before an own-goal in the 67th minute, sealed the three points for the St Ann’s club.
 
Jamal Philbert (20th) and Leander Archer (25th) secured the win in the first half for Rangers in the Under-16 division, which was also enough to see the team go top of the standings, by a solitary point.

W Connection impressed against Defence Force taking a 1-0 and a 3-0 win, respectively, in the Under-14 and Under-16 divisions.

Bradlee Lee Foon scored the lone goal for W Connection in the 37th minute, for the Under-14 outfit to keep the team alone at the top, before a double from Yafeu Rougier and Jabari Mitchell sealed an easy 3-0 win in the Under-16 division, to take the team up to a tied second position.

W Connection registered unanswered victories against Defence Force on Sunday to pull off a perfect run in Round One Match Day Three of the Oasis Youth Pro League Under 14, 16 and 18 divisions.

Bradlee Lee Foon’s 37th minute strike in the U14 division gave Connection a 1-0 win on the morning and in the U16 division a double from ace forward Yafeu Rougier netting from the spot in the 30th minute and from an open play in the 53rd minute separated by teammate Jabari Mitchell’s 45th minute item gave the homeside a comfortable 3-0 result.

And in the U18 division Adan Noel (60th minute) and Neil Benjamin Jr. (88th minute) who have both been included in Connection’s senior team roster, registered second half goals for a 2-0 win to end a perfect day at Gilbert Park.

In other results St. Ann’s Rangers defeated Caledonia AIA 2-0 in both the U16 and U18 after handing the Morvant/Laventille youngsters a win by default in the U14 division. San Juan Jabloteh defeated T&TEC FC 2-1 in the U14 and 3-0 in the U16 but sank to a 1-4 defeat against the ‘Electric Boys’ in the U18 division.

Angel Williams (7th minute), J`Van Pontiflet (32nd minute), Mickell Charles (38th minute) and Ricardo John (76th minute) were the scorers for T&TEC in the U18 age group while Garvin Samaroo (68th minute) notched the lone Jabloteh item.

Meantime Police FC and North East Stars shared the pie on Sunday, with the ‘lawboys’ registering a 1-0 win in the U14s followed by a 3-3 draw in the U16s and the Stars getting the better of a 2-1 result in the U18 division.
