Local Pro League football outfit, Ma Pau SC has proven to be quite a tough test for their Brazilian opposition.
The “Casino Boys” firstly routed Avanhandava by three goals to one. Goals came from the small but imposing Sherron Joseph who netted in the 20th minute to give the TT boys the lead. Also scoring were Renee Britto and Trevin Caesar.
Having played three games in all, Ma Pau SC remain undefeated while they are in Brazil and are carded to play against Lebolo FC of Angola, a notable First Division team.
With only one draw to their name, Ma Pau has enticed the people of Brazil as well as some agents who have enquired into the services of Joseph, Keeron Benitto and Britto.
Their impressive playing style has even warranted applause from the Mayor of Sao Paulo who arranged a special ceremony for the players. Trinidad and Tobago has truly made their mark in Brazil as they continue to represent the country and the region at large.
Ma Pau’s new holistic approach to the game has led to their success in the tournament and surely places them as one of the teams to watch in the new local season.
