National Senior Team head coach Otto Pfister held his first meeting with the representatives of the T&T Pro League on Tuesday.

Pfister gave an outline of his plans for his tenure in T&T as it relates to his philosophy and shared his experiences in other countries where World Cup qualification and competition success was achieved through a unified philosophy.

T&T Football Federation technical adviser Keith Look Loy chaired the meeting which included representatives from all clubs with the exception of San Juan Jabloteh, Defence Force and St Ann’s Rangers while Ma Pau was also stated their unavailability prior to the meeting.

“At the end it was agreed that one - there must be coordination between the league calendar and the national team's training and match programme and Coach Pfister will examine the league's draft programme to prepare a proposal to ensure this,” Look Loy told TTFF Media.

“Secondly the clubs also indicated that they will work to ensure their players are made available for team training and camps and thirdly it was made clear that national team training is open to club coaches while Pfister himself will visit club training sessions,” Look Loy added.

Pfister also stated during the meeting that players will be selected only if they are representing a club and that no unattached players will be part of his squad.

“He made it clear both in a meeting with the players and the Pro League representatives that he has no intentions of having players in his squad who are not attached to a club.

“He advised the coaches on how club training through the age groups should proceed into senior football, using his experience with the Ghana Under 20s, Saudi Arabia and Togo as examples. He also relayed his intentions as it relates to his training programme,” Look Loy added.

Pfister will continue with another training session on Friday at the Ato Boldon Stadium where the players from Caledonia AIA and Defence Force will be involved after previously being excused due to club commitments in the CFU Club Championship.
