Tigana Sparks scored a double to lead T&TEC SC to a commanding 6-2 thrashing of Penal All Stars for its fifth straight win in the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League on Saturday.
Willain Garcia, Lester Edwards, Dwight Charles and Angus John added a goal each while Alfred John and Shakeel Jogie got All Stars’ reply.
With the win, T&TEC, winners of the Second Division last year, improved to maximum 15 points from five matches, four ahead of PFC FC which registered an emphatic 8-1 mauling of PAL United, thanks to hat-tricks from Leston Moses and former national Under-23 striker Marcus Joseph.
Kelvin Hernandez and Andre Alexis, another ex-national youth player, added the others for PFC FC while Gary Daniel got a consolation strike for PAL. In the two other Premier Division matches, third placed Petrotrin Palo Seco blanked Brick Field Falcons 2-0 while Marabella Family trounced Diamond United 3-0.
Centre for Excellence also maintained its unbeaten start to the Roy Jagroopsingh Second Division with a 2-0 blanking of Cedar Hill United with a goal apiece from Kerwin Stafford and Mickyle De Las on Sunday to carry its points tally to 13 points from five matches, three more than Los Iros FC which played a to a 1-1 draw Union United.
