Former national youth player Andre Alexis continued his impressive form in front of goal by banging in six as Point Fortin Civic Centre (PFCC) blasted Diamond United 22-0, to surge to the top of the Southern Football Association Petrotrin Super League Premier Division on Saturday.

Sean Julien and Marcus Joseph, another ex-national both added beaver-tricks, while Randell Richard and Kelvin Modeste got two apiece and the quartet of Dwight Cave, Leston Moses, Steven Joseph and Kelvin Hernandez chipped in with one.

With the victory, its second in-a-row, Pt Fortin pushed its tally to 26 points from ten matches, one ahead of previous leader T&TEC, which was held to a 1-1 draw by fourth placed Petrotrin Palo Seco (18 pts) to follow up on its 4-0 loss to PFCC last week.

By finishing in the top two positions at the end of the first round of the Petrotrin Super League, Point Fortin CC and T&TEC qualified for the Anthony Cook “Big-Four” carded for October 19th and 20th along with the University of T&T and Los Iros FC, the top top teams at the end of the Roy Jagroopsingh Second Division first round.

The matches will be played at Skinner Park, San Fernando. Third placed OJ Soldado All Stars failed to take advantage of T&TEC’s slip up after it suffered a 5-1 thrashing from Penal Rock Road in its final round one match.

In the other matches, Big Dreams United blanked Marabella Family CC 4-0 and PAL United won by default from Penal All Stars.
