After a successful kickoff in 2019, and cancellation due to Covid in 2020, the Next Level Consulting, Limited U19 Community Invitational Tournament 2021 season is back!

The kickoff is carded for December 18th of this year, once the  committee receives approvals from the Ministry of Health, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Ministry of Sport and the Normalization Committee of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA).

“We’re going to be bigger too! We have already registered most of our teams in Trinidad and are working to register the top Tobago teams for our exciting new season. We all can’t wait to get back on the field!” announced Chairman, Brian K. Jordan.

He added, “With recreational Covid-19 restrictions still in place, our tournament committee expects to continue working with the CMO’s office to ensure the safety protocols we implement are more than adequate. Safety of all parties, especially our young talent, comes first for us. “

Mr. Jordan further stated, “Once the key stakeholders such as the teams, coaches, players, match officials, police, venues, as well as, the Normalization Committee of the TTFA continue to see value in our efforts, the tournament is scheduled to run from December, 2021 to March, 2022, with teams from each of the various zones vying for a challenge trophy, as well as, other awards and prizes.”

The tournament will again provide a strong platform for our young adults to play more organized football following the scheduled completion of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL). With this opportunity to play more organized football, further development of the national youth (and senior) team player pool becomes a real possibility.

Co-Owner of Next Level Consulting, Limited, and Tournament Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mrs. Germaine Jordan announced, “We are so pleased to be able to continue to provide this opportunity where Trinidad and Tobago’s top under-19 footballers will have a chance to showcase their skills outside of the Secondary Schools Football League. This tournament hopes to continue to build upon the great work of the SSFL. More football equals more opportunities”

MaGuaya United were the winners of the inaugural Next Level Consulting, Limited U19 Community Invitational Tournament, and they will be back to defend their title after last season’s Covid cancellation. Teams interested in participating have a pre-registration deadline of August 22, for the tournament.

Once again, Next Level Consulting, Limited (NLCL) will underwrite the majority of associated costs this season, and invites other stakeholders, and corporate entities to join in making a positive investment in our youth after a long Covid layoff.

The NLCL tournament committee, which includes Ms. Sandra Pompey, Mr. Don Griffith, as well as, Mr and Mrs Jordan, would like to thank the National Lotteries Control Board, National Energy Corporation, Comfort Keepers Assisted Living Facility, and all other supporters for their generous and kind sponsorship and partial underwriting of tournament costs.
