Vernon Wilson got the lone goal as defending champions, St Clair Coaching School edged Stokely Vale 1-0 at the Plymouth Recreation Ground on Friday to make it nine wins from as many matches in the Tobago Football Association Premier Division.
St Clair’s win pushed its points tally to maximum 27, five ahead of Sidey’s FC which emerged victorious from a seven-goal thriller with Mason Hall USSS, 4-3 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet thanks to a brace from Kester Kent.
In the other match played it was a family affair for Goal City as the Manswell-cousins, Kenyon and Kelson as well as the Ferguson-cousins, Kayode and Akini scored one each in a 4-0 blowout of Georgia.
Meanwhile, the TFA FA Trophy competition kicked off on Monday with Hills United and Carnbee/Mt Pleasant advancing to the second round with contrasting victories.
Hills United won on penalty-kicks from HV Milan after a 1-1 draw at Plymouth Recreation Ground while Carnbee/Mt Pleasant got a hat-trick from David Gill in a 3-0 win over Moriah Youths.
