FC SANTA ROSA drubbed Carib FC 5-1 last weekend as the fourth round of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) League competition took place.
Michael Hospedales (15th minute), Osei Sandy (21st), Jovan Rochford (26th), Christian Young (45th) and Hayden De Verteuil (90th) got their names on the scoresheet for Santa Rosa, while Gellineau Gill responded for Carib.
Santa Rosa lead the 10-team group, followed by WASA, who whipped St John’s United 4-2. Gino Diaz (25th), Marcano Chadee (30th), Kerron Smith (60th) and Akiel Thomas (90th) found the back of the net for WASA, while Jerry Lewis and Sylvester Madre replied for St John’s.
Third-placed Joe Public were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Maloney — Brian Hernandez’s 37th minute strike for Joe Public was cancelled out by Nathan Lewis’ 65th minute equaliser.
Valtrin United battled to a 2-2 draw with Malabar FC. Kadeem Graham (44th) and Ricardo Allen (74th) were on target for Valtrin, while Shane Hospedales (66th) and Kevon Cornwall (82nd) scored for Malabar.
The scheduled encounter between Upper Santa Cruz and Prisons FC was postponed to a date to be announced. In the First Division, Creek stayed atop the standings after drubbing Barataria Ball Players 5-0 in a third round meeting.
Dwayne Alexis registered a hattrick for Creek (13th, 17th and 41st), while Antonio Bostaldo (62nd) and Lorenzo Stapleton (88th) added one apiece. Pinto United is in second place, even though they were held to a 4-4 draw away to Boss FC.
Anthony Applewhite got a treble for Boss FC (10th, 18th and 55th) with Johnathan Redhead netted the other.
Arden Bain scored twice for Pinto (22nd and 61st), while Nathan Regis (33rd) and Winsplare Williams (41st) chipped in with one apiece.
And Keston Jones found the back of the net in the 29th as La Horquetta SA edged Tunapuna Titans 1-0.
