Petrotrin Palo Seco will be hoping to maintain its lead at the top of the National Super League Premier Division when it faces struggling WASA FC at the Palo Seco Municipal Stadium, from 4 pm when fifth round matches take place today.

Currently, Pertrotrin Palo Seco leads the 15-team table with ten points from four matches, one ahead newcomer Marabella Family Crisis Centre and Defence Force while Police FC and 1976 FC Phoenix are next with seven points each, one more than Guaya United and Bethel United.

WASA, held 0-0 by Matura Reunited on Thursday, is in a three-way tie with La Horquetta SA and Siparia Spurs, and has not won since the opening day, while Petrotrin Palo Seco is coming off a 1-0 victory away to Real Maracas and is unbeaten in its four matches to date.

Should Petrotrin Palo Seco slip up, Marabella Family and Defence Force will both fancy their chances of going top of the table as they come up against Stokely Vale and La Horquetta, respectively. The “Teteron Boys,” 1-0 winners over FC Santa Rose in their last encounter come up against La Horquetta at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella from 4 pm, while Marabella Family, 3-1 victors over defending champions Club Sando Moruga 3-1 at Marabella travel to Plymouth, Tobago.

In other key clashes, Police, fresh off a 7-1 blasting of Stokely Vale will be confident of another three points at the same St James Police Barracks Training Ground venue from 4 pm against another Tobago club in Bethel United while Phoenix is at home to Santa Rosa at the Canaan Ground, Bon Accord. Defending champion, Club Sando Moruga, still without a win after three matches host Guaya United at Grand Chemin Recreation and Real Maracas is at home to Siparia Spurs, both from 4 pm.
