T&TEC got goals from three different players to blank 1976 Angostura Phoenix 3-0 in the bmobile National Super League knockout quarterfinal at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre, on Friday.

The Electricity Boys’ next test is against Queen’s Park at the Oval in the feature match of a semifinal double-header on Friday from 8 pm.

Two hours earlier, Economy Strikers and Defence Force, last year’s beaten finalist, will kick off at 6 pm. On Friday, after a 0-0 first 45 minutes, T&TEC stepped up its energy on the resumption and went 1-0 ahead a minute after the restart thanks to Jamal Ayres.

The winner of the knockout competition, which will be contested on August 28, will collect $35,000 while the runner-up gets $15,000.
