AKINI ADAMS, goalkeeper of Team TTEC, received five out of six votes to award him best goalkeeper for the month of August in the bmobile National Super League 2010 season.

A resident of Salazar Trace, Point Fortin, 23-year-old Adams Akini dabbled in some cricket and played in the Under-13 National Cricket team as a fast bowler.

He began his football career at a young age but his skills became visible in 2006 when he represented his alma mater Presentation College, San Fernando who won the South Intercol title that year.

He also in the same season went on to make the Intercol All Star team which played against the Jamaica All Star team.

His football prowess is matched in his academic life as he successfully gained a full certificate in CXC and went on to get his Advanced level passes in the Sciences.

Football is in his blood as his brother Akeem Adams represented Trinidad and Tobago in the 2009 FIFA Under 20 World Cup and presently plays with the Senior National Team.

Akini proceeded to advance his professional football career with South based Giants United Petrotrin FC where he was part of the team that won the Toyota Classic and the Lucozade Big Six.

At present, he plays football at TTEC where he has been a giant between the sticks and desires to one day play for the senior national team.
