There will be an even process to allow fans wishing to see their “Soca Warriors” in live action for one final time before they go off to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation have brought on board local company Teleios to handle ticket allocations for the May 10 friendly international against Peru at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 6:30pm.

Based on the difficulties experienced during the lead up to the first leg of the playoffs with Bahrain last November and with the demand for tickets expected to be even bigger to see the World Cup finalists in action in May, it was agreed that the ticketing component be handled by Teleios’ SMS-based Allocation and Distribution Management System .

The entire process was explained by Teleios representative Ronald Hinds at a press conference hosted by the TTFF and match sponsor bMobile at the VIP Lounge, Hasely Crawford Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Participants will be required to submit entries into the system via a text message sent from their mobile phones, indicating both the desired category of tickets, whether covered (TT$500) or uncovered (TT$300) and the preferred location to purchase the tickets if successful. Ticket category and purchase location combinations are represented by individual codes that will be advertised in the local media.

Fans can text their request from April 12 to April 24, 2006, 11:59pm. Entries will be allowed only once in each category, that is, one entry for Covered Section tickets and/or one entry for uncovered section tickets. If participants submit multiple entries for one section, only the last entry will be accepted into the Draw. The number of tickets (Multi ePass smart card ticket) printed will be 18,040 for uncovered and 5,150 for covered stands.

Though fans can submit entries for both sections, winning the opportunity for one section will subsequently  disallow the individual the chance of winning the chance to also purchase for the next section.

On Tuesday April 25, winning mobile numbers will be randomly selected for the Covered and Uncovered seating categories, automatically generating a unique Ticket allocation Code for each winner. NO TWO MOBILE NUMBERS WILL HAVE THE SAME TICKET ALLOCATION CODE.

Successful and unsuccessful participants will be notified by a message sent to their phones on Wednesday April 26 and Thursday April 27, 2006. Winners’ messages will contain the unique ticket allocation code and will also indicate where the four tickets are to be purchased. No participant will be allowed to purchase any more or any less than four tickets for the section requested.

At the collection centres, winners will be required to produce one national photo identification (DP,National ID or Passport), the winning mobile number and the winning mobile phone with the winner notification message. THE TICKET ALLOCATION CODE IS ESSENTIAL FOR VERIFICATION. The code will be matched against the information stored on the system as a means of guarding against fraudulent attempts to acquire tickets.

Only after successful verification will the winner be provided with a certificate to present to the cashier to pay for and receive four tickets for the game. Cash transactions only, will be facilitated at the distribution locations. Further information can be obtained by calling Teleios Systems Limited at 622 0940 and asking for Ronald Hinds, Kevin Khelawan or Khyron Danclair.
