RWANDA's would-be international friendly against Trinidad and Tobago has been called off. Reports from the local football governing body, Ferwafa indicate that the decision was down to logistics.

"We found it very costly to fly in Trinidad & Tobago as well as foot their expenses while in Kigali," Ferwafa's CEO Jules Kalisa conceded.

"We will now play Malawi instead."

The November 17 tie will be played in Malawi's capital, Blantyre.

As they are ranked 84th in the world, 34 places clear of Rwanda, Kalisa believes Malawi will provide a good challenge for the Wasps ahead of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

Early this month, Rwanda dropped six places on the Fifa ranking following her poor display in the opening two 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers against Ivory Coast and Benin.

The team succumbed to identical 0-3 defeats against the two West African teams to remain at the foot of Group H.
