PRESENTATION San Fernando whipped Pleasantville 3-0 yesterday at Skinner Park, San Fernando to stay top of the South Zone standings. Action was in the Championship Division of the BGTT Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL).

Renaldo Atwell netted a pair, in the 74th and 85th minutes, following Angel Williams’ opener in the 36th for the reigning South Zone winners.

Also in the South Zone, Princes Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Mayaro while Naparima came away with a 2-2 draw against Shiva Boys at Penal.

St Augustine edged 2012 champions Arima 3-2 at the Arima Municipal Stadium to move to first place in the East Zone. Ricardo John registered a hat-trick (51st, 67th and 87th), while Arima got strikes from Quesi Windsor (18th) and an own goal from Aikim Andrews (90th).

Corey Stewart notched a double (third and eighth) as El Dorado East took care of the visiting Valencia while Tariq John scored two penalties (53rd and 86th) and Akeel Modeste netted in the 18th as Trinity East pipped El Dorado West 3-2 at Trincity.

In the North Zone, defending champs St Anthony’s whipped hosts Diego Martin 3-1, Mucurapo blanked hosts QRC 3-2 and St Mary’s walked away from the Fatima Ground in Mucurapo with a 4-3 win over Fatima.

In the sister isle Tobago, Signal Hill crushed hosts Goodwood 6-0, Mason Hall hammered Pentecostal Light and Life 5-0 at the Plymouth Recreation Ground, Speyside trounced Bishop’s High 4-0 at home while Scarborough, the 2012 winners, were held to a 2-2 draw away to Roxborough.

Matches will continue on Saturday, including the Central Zone, who were on a bye yesterday.
