Scarborough Secondary and Pleasantville Secondary continued their push for their respective zonal playoff spot in the bgTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League Championship Division by winning their third match from as many outings on Friday.

Over in the Tobago Zone, Tafarel Joseph had a handful of goals as Scarbrough bombed Roxbrough 7-0.

Kellon James and Akeem Gardiner added one each for Scarborough, now with maximum nine points, three more than idle Bishop's High which has a match in hand as well.

In the two other matches in Tobago, former national champions Signal Hill whipped Mason Hall with N’kosi Chance scoring second-half double while Goodwood edged Pentecostal Light & Life 1-0 thanks to Andre Lewis’ lone item.

Down South, Pleasantville used a early goals from Dillon Yearwood in the 11th minute and Denzil Marcano, in the 26th to hold off Siparia West, which got back into the contest via a Darius Peters own goal in the 76th.

The win moved Pleasantville to nine points from its three matches, three ahead of Vessigny 2-0 winners over Pt Fortin East.

The other South match between Moruga and Princes Town West Moruga was abandoned in the second half by the match officials after some home spectators invaded the field when a Moruga player was issued a red card.

At that point in time, Moruga was ahead 2-0 and on its way to its first win in three matches, but must now await the decision of the SSFL’s Disciplinary Committee.

In the East Zone, Five Rivers outgunned Toco 5-3 for its second win in three matches to move to seven points, four clear of Valencia, Toco and Barataria South.

Barataria South had a hard tough 4-3 win over Valencia in the zone’s other match.

And in the North, East Mucurapo trounced Diego Martin Central 8-0 for its second win from two matches and top spot with six points, two clear of Malick and Blanchisseuse which battled to a 0-0 draw.
