GOALS flowed freely when the Eastern Conference of the Tobago Football Association League resumed at Roxborough Sporting Complex.

Goal City trounced FC Goodwood 6-1 with hat-tricks by both Hakeem Legall (1’, 38’ & 76) and Kino Proctor (60’, 63’ & 77’).

In the first half, Legall found time and space on separate occasions to give the Castara Boys a 2–1 lead, as Keston Jerry pulled one back for Goodwood in the fifth minute.

In the second period, Goodwood started brightly as they went in search of the equaliser. But the introduction of former St. Clair’s Coaching School standout Proctor by the Castara Boys led to the floodgate being opened as Goal City added four more goals. Legall completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute. Proctor then followed a minute later in completing his hat-trick, in what turned out to be a forgettable night for the lads from Goodwood.

In the second game, Conference leaders Georgia found the opposition Roxborough Lakers very challenging and had to battle hard to come away 1-0 winners over the improving Lakers outfit.

Darelle Springer scored in the 75th minute from a corner kick to give Georgia the win. Charlotteville PYC and Sidey’s SC are yet to complete the round of games in the conference.

Georgia now have a five-point lead over Goal City and one more over Sidey’s which have played a game less than Georgia. Roxborough Lakers, FC Goodwood and Charlotteville PYC are now in must-win mode if they hope to qualify for the next round.
