DESPITE their two recent victories, 1976 FC Phoenix still trail Lambeau United by two points in the First Division of the Tobago Football Association.

Phoenix edged Calder Hall FC 3-2 on Thursday with goals from Ashley McMillan who got a double and Joel Alleyne. Adrian Holder scored both goals for the losers.

And on Saturday, Phoenix got the only goal of the match from Chevon Alleyne to edge past Goodwood FC.

But league leaders Lambeau United shut out NLCB Mt Grace United 2-0 on goals by Ansell Campbell and Allan Forrester.

Meanwhile, Earlbrokes got three valuable points when Hills United defaulted their game in the Premier Division on Saturday.

And Taylor’s Rentals Goal City got a goal from Akini Ferguson to beat Leeds United 1-0 on Sunday to keep up what appears to be a futile challenge to St Clair’s Coaching School, who hold a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier Division.
