1976 Phoenix and Stokely Vale booked places in the Tobago Football Association FA Trophy round-of-16 with victories on Tuesday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.

In the opener, Phoenix got the better of Black Rock 4-3 on penalty-kicks after a 0-0 draw to set up a last-16 clash with Mason Hall USSS.

Two hours later in the second match, Stokely Vale overcame an own-goal from defender Darren Williams to slip past Earlbrokes, 2-1 with strikes from Runako Jack and Rondell Williams.

In the round-of-16 on October 3, Stokely Vale will meet the winner of today’s clash between Good United and Signal Hill United at Plymouth Recreation Ground.

Two other matches carded for Goodwood, Roxborough Lakers against Leeds United, and Lambeau FC versus Charlotteville Unifiers were postponed until Friday September 30.

The winner of the FA competition will collect $20,000 while second gets $10,000 and third, $7,000. St Clair Coaching School which faces Hills United in the round-of-16 on October 1 won the title last year.
