Keon Samuel scored a hat-trick while three other players added doubles as defending champion St Clair Coaching School hammered 1976 Phoenix FC 9-0 in their Tobago Football Association FA Trophy semifinal on Friday. This was in the first match of a double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet. Samuel’s hat-trick carried his season tally to 16 goals, two behind team-mate Kino Proctor, who along with Anderson Taylor and former national youth team striker Carron Williams chipped in with two each.

In Friday’s final at the same venue from 7 pm, St Clair Coaching School, which also leads the Premier Division table with maximum 30 points, will meet fellow top flight club, Charlotteville Unifiers. Unifiers advanced to the FA final after a 3-2 penalty-kicks win over First Division leader, Youth Stars following a 0-0 draw in the second encounter at Bacolet. The winner of Friday’s final will collect $20,000 while second and third get $10,000 and $7,000 respectively. Meanwhile, Sidey’s got two goals from Pavel Warwick to whip Stokelyvale 4-1 in the Premier Division League to close to within two points of leader, St Clair. With the win, Sidey’s improved to 28 points, two behind St Clair.
