Valtrin United defeated WASA FC 3-1 to register their second win in as many games in the Premier Division of the Emerald Apartments and Plaza Eastern Football Association League at the WASA ground in St Joseph on Sunday.
Doing the business for the boys in red were Akernaton La Touche, who netted a brace in the 21st and 40th minutes and Dwight Crichlow, who converted a penalty in the 60th minute for the winners. They were 1-0 winners over Malabar FC in the first round of the new campaign.
Joseph Peters also netted from the spot in the 78th minute for the home team WASA, who trailed 2-0 at the half- way stage. In other Premier Division results on Sunday, Joe Public FC egded La Horquetta SA 2-1; Boss FC and FC Maloney played to 1-1 draw; Malabar FC hammered FC St. John United 6-0.
In the First Division on Saturday, La Horquetta FX peppered Crowne United 8-1,with Taja Comminssiong scoring a hat-trick (20th, 27th and 49th ), while Jomoul Francis netted a double in the 50th and 52nd minutes. There were also wins for Athetico SI and T&T Prisons from the same division on Saturday.
