ANDRE MAYERS registered a hat-trick as Edinburgh 500 crushed Xtrafoods Chaguanas FC 5-1 on Friday in the quarter-final round of the Central Football Association (CFA) Sanitank League Cup Knockout competition.

The quarter-final matches were staged at the Hugo Francis Recreation Ground, Woodford Lodge, Chaguanas.

Mayers got his name on the scoresheet in the 12th, 61st and 78th minutes, while Ryan Ramsey netted in the 73rd and Amelias James scored in the 88th.

Ryan Edwards got the consolation strike for Chaguanas FC, in the 51st.

Also on Friday, Fire Services cruised past Leeds FC 5-2.

Tevon McIntosh (eighth and 34th) and Jeremy Trim (58th and 70th) scored two goals apiece for Fire Services, with Darel Alleyne (19th) getting the other.

The goal-getters for Leeds were Allister Hackett (20th) and Antonio Venus (78th).

There were also a pair of quarter-final games on Saturday, at the Hugo Francis Ground.

Coosals Las Lomas United blanked Perseverance United 4-0 with items from Ricky Singh (25th), Kareem Joseph (67th), Dion Lewis (76th) and Shaquille Holder (77th).

And Kareem Beckles notched a double, in the sixth and 17th minutes, to guide Cunupia FC to a 2-0 win over Enterprise Youths FC.

The semi-final matches were due to be contested yesterday with Edinburgh 500 against Cunupia FC and Fire Services versus Coosals Las Lomas United.

And, on Friday, the Ramsingh Sports World FA Cup Third Place playoff will take place at the Hugo Francis Ground, with Eagles United tackling Cunupia FC from 6.15 pm.
