PETROTRIN PALO Seco remained top of the standings in the Southern Football Association (SFA) Big Six competition, after a high-scoring 6-4 win over Penal All Stars at Latchoos Road, Penal on Sunday.

Jamaal Ayres recorded a hat-trick, while Tigana Sparks netted a double and Darren Alexis scored the other for Palo Seco. Penal were rewarded with goals from Andrew Samuel, Jamaal John, Alfred John and Andrew Quashie.

Second-placed UTT strolled to a 6-1 thrashing of Marabella Family Crisis Centre (CC) at the Tarouba Link Road.

Jamaal Creighton and Keron Doldron each netted twice, while Keon James and Ricaldo Castenallo each contributed one for UTT. Marabella’s consolation item was scored by Quintel John.

Also on Sunday, Point Fortin Civic FC earned a 3-0 default win away to Big Dreams United in Moruga.

And, in a rescheduled fixture, the UTT outfit got past Penal All Stars 3-1 on Thursday last. Doldron scored twice while Garvin Samaroo netted the other for UTT, while Penal’s lone strike coming from Shakiei Jogie.
