Despite playing to a goalless draw with BM Spurs on Saturday, T&T Prisons remained at the top of the Eastern Football Association (EFA) Premier Division, after three matches.
The draw was Prisons’ second of the season. The club may have escaped being leapfrogged by second placed Carib FC, which had its match with SKHY FC postponed.
House of Dread, which played only one match, and won, prior to this weekend’s fixtures failed to take control of its match with FC Maloney, but scored late to steal a 1-1 draw.
FC Maloney scored on the hour mark through Allan Walcott to take a 1-0 lead, and nearly sealed its first win from two matches but for the 82nd minute equaliser from House of Dread’s Shirlon Geoffroy.
Today, action will resume in the Premier Division, with a key clash between two of the six unbeaten teams, T&T Prisons and House of Dread meeting at Constantine Park, from 5 pm.
Four other matches are carded.
Following this weekend’s First Division action, the next round will be played on Sunday.
