Maple are the 2014 North FA Trophy football champions. Maple won the title when edging Queen’s Park Cricket Club 2-1 last Thursday at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.
Struggling in the league competition, Maple whipped Carenage United 2-0 at the semi-final stage, while the Parkites came up with a 4-2 penalty kick victory over St Francois Nationals, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time, in the other semi-final. Both Maple and QPCC have qualified for the National FA Trophy competition.
